Students must meet the following qualifications for consideration:

Must be admitted to Mitchell Technical Institute as an incoming freshman.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or international student in lawful F-1 status.
Submit a high school transcript by email, fax to (605) 995-3067, or mail to MTI Foundation, 821 N. Capital, Mitchell SD, 57301
Complete one recommendation form from an individual with direct knowledge of your abilities, accomplishments and potential (eg. employer, counselor, coach, teacher, 4H leader, etc., other than a direct family member or peer).

Award Information:

Application Deadline: July 10, 2009 at 4:00pm.
Awards will be based on:
· A combination of GPA and class rank.
· Essay questions answered completely.
· Transcript - emailed to heather.lentz@mitchelltech.edu or mailed or faxed to MTI Foundation.
· Recommendation form - completed by reference.
Award for Freshman scholarships may be received once during your enrollment at Mitchell Technical Institute.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Why should you receive a scholarship to attend Mitchell Technical Institute?
All of the information I have provided is correct. By submitting this online application, I authorize Mitchell Technical Institute to furnish copies of my academic records, this application, personal letters of recommendation, and a statement of my financial need, when appropriate, to scholarship donors and any scholarship committees for review and selection for any scholarships for which I may be eligible. If I am awarded a scholarship, I authorize MTI to use my name, photo and scholarship information on MTI's website or in publications including my hometown newspaper.
